YAHWEH TAKES NO PLEASURE IN STONES GATHERING MOSS

On the front cover of a school text book called Caribbean Language Arts Project Workbook Standard 4 are five(5) probably what we might wish to call proverb-sayings or words of wisdom.

These five(5) proverb-sayings reads as follows:

a) A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss

b) Birds of A Feather Flock Together

c) A Small Leak Will Sink A Ship

d) When the Cat's Away the Mice Will Play

e) Don't Put All Your Eggs In One Basket

But what I wish to take a look at out of these five(5) proverb-sayings quoted above is the one which says "A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss" in relation to what is expected of the individual subtracting him/herself from the insanity of this world and its immorality to submit to the sanity living for our Creator in a crucked and perverse age of immorality.

Stones Without Moss Are Always the
Chosen for Any Constructive Use

It is indeed quite so true that Yahweh takes no pleasure in stones which have become rolling stones not gathering moss to again turn around becoming stones gathering moss.

Yahshua does make plain to us in Luke 9:62 of His unhappiness with such stones by saying:

"No man having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of Yahweh."

The Apostle Paul(Sha'ul) himself expresses this very same sentiment as did Yahshua our Savior that he takes no pleasure in rolling stones which would have cease to roll and are back into the destructive practise of gathering MOSS.

Here's the exact sentiment of the Apostle Paul on this matter in Hebrews 10:38:

"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him."

This is just how Yahweh our Creator feels towards us when we would have ceased to keep up to the momemtum of keeping ourselves rolling from gathering moss. THEREFORE ARE WE TO STAND GUARD AGAINST BECOMING STONES GATHERING MOSS.

Are We Really Stones?

Speaking to a number of believers be it where they might have been at the time he wrote his first letter to them, the Apostle Peter(Kepha) declared to them and by extention is declaring to us who have believed and have had our sins washed away by way of water baptism(immersion) into the one and ONLY saving name of our Savior YAHSHUA the Messiah that:

"You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to Yahweh by Yahshua [the] Messiah."

We have been called to be like stones which can be used in the building up of Yahweh's spiritual house and to continue being as stones able of being used continually remaining a building material unto His own purpose and will in the light of His holy calling, not allowing moss anymore to gather upon us in the way of allowing back into our lives that cloak of sin and maliciousness of doing evil willfully once more in the sight of the Almighty. For, it have been mandated of us who have been obedient to His holy calling and election to roll out from sin, as rolling stones, and to never cease rolling.

But The Choice Is Ours

We may choose to become as stones gathering moss against what the will of Yahweh is for us in ceasing to keep rolling and allowing that moss from which we had rolled off in the past by way of believing, repentance and baptism(immersion) in Yahshua to once again become our clothing thus putting back on that willful practise of yielding to that old sinful nature of willfully sinning against our Creator and IF at all we do (pray that we have and will not), that freewill choice is ours to make as what becomes of us should we choose rather to cease rolling as stones for Yahweh, what our outcome turns out to be in this life and at the return of our Savior to award every human being according to what we have done in this life here on earth, have certainly been placed within our own command, personally.

Take for example in Luke 18:1 where we are being told of Yahshua speaking a parable (read verses 2 down to 8) to His adherants some 2,000 years ago and to us by extention that our lives must NEVER be short of a burning zeal and desire to ALWAYS pray and to NEVER allow ourselves of becoming cold from that zeal.

Luke 18:1, which reads as follows, is an introduction to our dear Savior's parable found in verses 2 to 8 as the dear Dr. Luke could have best understood and interpret our dearly beloved Savior to be saying in that parable:

"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint..."

Good will it be for us at the end if we endure and keep rolling as it was for that widow who never gave up pleading and seeking justice inspite of being ignored by that city judge. She pressed on continually and kept returning to that city judge with the hope that he would one day have regard to her plea for help and deliverance.

Using this situation here with this widow as an example, our Savior did the same in using this widow's situation as an example to us that we ought not to faint in living a dedicated life to our heavenly father in a hopeful anticipation that he will one day deliver us all from the batters of this life with all the wiles and attacks of Satan the arch enemy but to continue pressing onward and forward never ceasing to prayerfully seek Yahweh's delivering intervention in our lives as did that widow of that city judge who did not reverance Yahweh nor even had regard to any of his fellow human beings.

But inspite of how uncouth and ruthless that city judge may have been and apparently refusing to regard the plight of that widow, she was after a while successful in getting that unjust judge to humble himself to her situation and to avenge her of her adversary only because that she kept on rolling. She kept on seeking for her rights. At a physical plain, she was being perseverant. How much the more Yahweh expects of us at a spiritual level. The choice is ours to make.

Our Savior's parable reads in verses 2 down to 8 as He uttered it in the hearing of His listeners:

"...There was in a city a judge, which feared not Elohim, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not Elohim, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Master said, Hear what the unjust judge says. And shall not Yahweh avenge His own elect, which cry day and night to Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man comes, shall He find faith on the earth?"

Aren't we to understand from this passage of Scripture that if we would ever loose that interest, desire and zeal to continue in prayer, faith and a dedicated life to Yahweh serving Him unwaveringly that we are going to faint even from His calling us to be as lively stones because, as lively stones, deffinitely, we are as rolling stones unto the Master's good use for the building up of His spiritual house not made with human hands. Aren't we?
In simple language, this is what the dear Dr. Luke is understanding our Savior to be cautioning His listeners in His parable.

That We Keep Rolling Is Compulsory
Against That Day When We Must
Account for Our Actions

IN ORDER THAT WE MAY NOT GATHER MOSS, WE MUST KEEP ROLLING AND WITH LIVELINESS TOO AS LIVELY STONES.

Having cease to roll, IF we have, then this admonishment from the Apostle Paul to the believers in Ephesus sure is for us too by Yahweh's inspiration:

"Wherefore He says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and [the] Messiah shall give you light." -Ephesians 5:14.

If as professing Bible believers we are spiritually asleep, then are we not lively but stagnant, as stones that are one place idly thus, gathering moss. Aren't we, in that we are stagnant IF so be we are?

We are called to roll, to perform. Therefore, let us roll and be saved from the wrath of the Almighty that He'll soon be pouring down upon those stones that are gathering moss from not rolling. And, shall we and be saved?

Here's an admonishment that has been made available to us by way of Yahweh's inspiration in chapter 10 and verses 24-25 of the letter written to the Hebrews:

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching."

To forsake assembling ourselves in weekly and annual sabbath and monthly new moon worship to our Creator Yahweh as He has commanded is ceasing to roll, isn't it?
For serving Yahweh is a rolling process and is something we have to continue employing on a daily basis. Because if not, we would have cease from "considering one another to provoke unto love and to good works."

Pulling back  from our accepting His appointing us as labourers in His precious vineyard, we are no more as a rolling stone that gathers no moss but as once upon a time rolling stones now stagnant  one place there idling, gathering moss. Why? Because we have ceased to be as rolling stones and, should this be?

Too often we allow the moss of sin to be our clothing as a non-rolling stone covered up with moss and this can happen to any sincere, dedicated believer in the Bible. Remember Samson?

SO LET'S STAND GUARD

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the [Master], and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of [Yahweh], that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take to you the whole armor of [Yahweh], that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the glad tidings of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of [Yahweh]: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints..." -Ephesians 6:10-18.

"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes." -Matthew 25:13.

Therefore, keep on persevering and as rolling stones, that we be not found with moss in our lives at His royal coming with His reward that He shall give to each and everyone of us according to what our works have been in this life.

If on reading, listening to or hearing this message that you haven't as yet considered allowing Yahshua our Savior to cleanse-wash you from the moss of sin in your life IF you haven't as yet done so in becoming as a lively, ROLLING stone in His service and worship, why not consider seeing yourself taking this BOLD step TODAY for Him unto eternal life?

IF you obediently subject to Him TODAY BEFORE His return, it is you who will reap the reward of ETERNAL life at the end of this age when He will have arrived in person from the heavens to rule this world with a rod of iron in righteousness with His saints (including you?).

SALVATION IS FREE TO ALL WHO HAVE AND WILL BECOME AS LIVELY ROLLING STONES UNTO THE MASTER'S GOOD USE IN THIS LIFE BEFORE HIS RETURN.

In closing, I leave with you the following Bible passages of Scripture taken from King Solomon's book of Ecclesiastes as he was being inspired to write by Almighty Yahweh:

"Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes: but know you, that for all these things [Elohim] will bring you into judgement. Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity." -Ecclesiastes 11:9-10.

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear [Elohim], and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For [Elohim]  shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." -Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.
