Third New Moon Sighted

Shalom and a wonderful third new moon day to each and ALL in the name of Yahshua our Savior the Messiah!

It is that time again which I've committed myself to do on a monthly basis; to stop by with a report on the sighted or non sighting of the new moon.

I have sighted the new moon beginning the Bible third month Sivan this evening Monday 9th May 2005 in only about 5 minutes after sunset at 6:30 p.m. ECT (-4 GMT). It is quite high and appears in the same position that the last new moon Zif appeared but of course, much higher than Zif.
At the sighting of the new moon this evening, tomorrow Tuesday 10th May 2005 begins the Bible third month Sivan from this evening of Monday 9th May 2005 when the new moon became visible.
Considering the height of this new moon, I am of the opinion that this new moon was already visible to Israel over 6 hours ago before us here in Dominica. But I have noticed that a report have not as yet been forthcoming from our dear Karaite friend, Nehemiah Gordon in Israel. I trust that whatever is the cause, is not anything to be a cause for alarm. Being that the sun sets in Israel 6 hours before us here in Dominica, Nehemiah Gordon's new moon report would have already reach us sometime after mid-day, 6 hours before the sun sets and we would have seen the new moon here in Dominica.
With the usuring in of the Bible third month Sivan at the appearing of the new moon this evening comes the thought and remembrance of the Pentecost (fiftieth day) Sabbath Feast of Weeks/Harvest in which selfsame third moon this Bible commanded annual feast ALWAYS occurs. A joyous Pentecost (fiftieth) Sabbath Feast of Weeks/Harvest to everyone this coming Sunday 15th May 2005 (6th Sivan 5766). This week Friday therefore is a double preparation day as is when we'll have to be buying and making whatever necessary preparation for both this Saturday and Sunday coming, a weekly and an annual Sabbath respectively.

General elections here in Dominica last week Thursday 5th, resulted in the ruling government remaining in office with two additional seats to make it twelve plus one independent candidate who was being victorious at the polls, leaving the Opposition with eight out of the nine seats they had won five years ago. The Dominica Labour Party's coalition partner, the Dominica Freedom Party, did not manage to earn a seat in the House of Assembly for the first time in their history of contesting general elections. We are being obedient to our creator that we are to pray for them who have the rule over us that they may lead a peace and quite life. Keep us and the government that Yahweh has re-established over us here for a second consecutive term of office in your prayers continually.

Happy new moon day to ALL,

Augustus Paul
