7th August 2005 Begins the Bible 6th Month Elul

Shalom and New Moon greetings to all in the Messiah our Savior.

I am happy being able to report from our end here in Roseau, Dominica that two families comprising of 3 adults and 2 grown children of understanding sighted the 6th new moon Elul this Saturday evening 6th August 2005.

Because of where our place of worship is situated, those of us including myself who remainded on the grounds after Sabbath for the new moon service could not have spotted the moon from the grounds due to a mountain that stands straight between our worship grounds and the path of the setting sun.
Knowing that as they were heading to town that they would have sighted the moon, I called one of them in the midst as they were motoring to town who confirmed that they sighted it and that its thin. It was about 6:57 p.m. when I called and got the confirmation.
We then had a short new moon service for about an hour which was moderated by Deacon Russell Bertrand. The speaker was Bro. Augustus Paul. His message was centered around Yahweh moving the hearts of His servants in the book of Haggai 1 to rebuild His temple in the 6th moon such as in which we have just entered. The people were being obedient to the call made on the 24th day of this moon to return to Yahweh and His work to rebuild the temple. He also sighted in chapter 2 that, that same call was again sent out almost a month later on the 21st day of the 7th moon which we are aware is the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles. May those of us who have already gotten and received that calling to labour in His vineyard not find ourselves abdicators from His work. The call is out to anyone of us who may have abdicated our responsibilities as labourers in His vineyard one way or another to return and be like those in the book of Haggai who responded in obedience to the voice of Yahweh.

New moon day therefore, beginning tonight, is tomorrow Sunday 7th August 2005 until sunset which is the first day of the Bible 6th month Elul.

The next new moon which will be the beginning of the Bible 7th month Ethanim is carded to become visible in 29 days just after sunset on Sunday 4th September 2005.
The appearing of the next new moon heralds the entering of not only the Bible 7th month but as well as the first of the four Bible annual Sabbaths occuring in that moon.
This new moon which is an annual Sabbath on the Bible calendar is called the Feast of Trumpets in the Bible or Yom Teruah in the Bible Hebrew language.

If seen on the date predicted, Monday 5th until sunset, beginning from the previous evening Sunday sunset 4th September 2005 is the first day of the Bible 7th month Ethanim and the New Moon Sabbath Day Feast of Trumpets.

The 10th day on Wednesday 14th September is the Sabbath Day of Atonement followed by the 7 days Feast of Tabernacles/Booths commencing the following Monday 19th September 2005 which the Assembly with whom I observe these Bible festivals will be celebrating on the sister Caribbean island of Trinidad this year for the first time outside of our Country.
We plan to leave for Trinidad immediately following the Sabbath Day of Atonement on Thursday 15th September 2005.

Happy new moon day to all in Yahshua,

We spotted the New Moon tonight, the 6th; I at 8:25pm.  It was plenty high but there is a thick haze of ??? red-colored-not-high-enough-to-be-clouds; yeah, we don't know what that red stuff is...anyway the moon looked a bit thin for 3% interestingly enough but we didn't stay to see what it looked like in the darkened sky. The shofar was blown giving praises to Yahweh, Yahshua!  May Yahweh keep us all.

Saturday August 6, 2005

Greetings brethren,

The sixth new moon of the Scriptural year was seen in many parts of
the world.  It was sighted August 6th at sunset around 8:30PM in Blue
Springs, Missouri.  The following pictures are taken soon after it
was visible enough to be photographed.  Laura, John, Veronica and I
saw it as it descended, still visible at 9:15PM.  Praise Yahweh for
the blessed sighting to end the Sabbath.

There were no reports from Friday night of a sighting.  As noted
earlier Friday night was marginally possible in the southwest.  Thank
you for your reports and may Yahweh bless you through out this sixth
month.
