The Bible Calendar vs. The 2006 Roman Calendar

Q  I am having a problem that I will like to clear up. At the feast, you gave me some information on the New Moon that I cannot unfold properly pertaining to the Bible Months. We are in the month of January at this time yet what you gave me is the 11th month Sebat (Zecharia 1:7) -- January/February, Adar 12th month -- February/March, Tebeth 10th month -- December/January, Chisleu 9th month -- November/December, Bul 8 month -- October/November, Ethanim 7th month -- September/October, Elul 6th month -- August/September, 5th month (this month is nameless) -- July/August. We have 12 months in the year. Yet, 8 months is mentioned. -LJ

A Since the Roman months are not based on the crescent appearing of the new moon as Yahweh requires to establish the months of the year, then what will be found is that the new moon will not be occurring on the same Roman date the following year that it appeared the previous year. For example, the new moon which determined the beginning of this Bible 11th month was visible early in this Roman month of January 2006 on Sunday evening 1st. This will not be the same and exact Roman date (sunset 1st January) on which the new moon of the Bible 11th month will become visible the next Roman year 2007.
What is evident is that the new moons unlike past years are carded to become visible something like close to the very beginning and/or ending of the Roman months this year 2006.
This upcoming new moon of the Bible 12th month carded to become visible this coming Monday evening 30th January is one such example in that this Bible 11th month will not be running from this Roman month of January into February as had been the custom but will instead end even before January comes to a close as it is certain that the 31st will be new moon day one of the Bible 12th month Adar from sunset 30th. We are seeing that the new moon, day one, of the Bible 12th month that we have been accustom to see occuring in February has this year 2006 instead occured on the last day of January. This looks like about a week or two earlier than usual on the Roman calendar.
Two new moon days--new moon day one of the Bible 11th month Sebat and of the Bible 12th month Adar, as we are seeing, have both occured this year in the same Roman month of January on the 2nd and on the 31st.
The new moon having become visible after sunset of the 30th, January 31st becomes new moon day one of the Bible 12th month Adar. This being the case and February carrying 28 days clear, the lunar 29th day of the Bible 12th month will certainly expire at Tuesday sunset 28th February when the next new moon is carded to become visible after that the sun is set, well outside of February. So we can see how by Yahweh's doing that February this year 2006 will not be carrying a new moon day at all whatsoever to which we had been most accustom to see happening.
The same is sure to occur in March as happened in January where we're again going to have two new moon days occuring. These will be the new moon day one of the carded Bible leap year intercalary 13th month and the Abib new moon day one of the Bible 1st month  on the 1st and 31st of March respectively, granted these next upcoming two new moons become visible sunset 28th February and 30th March.
I had been accustom for the past even 17 years to the Bible calendar months to be corresponding with the Roman calendar months in this way:

January/February = 11th month Sebat
February/March = 12th month Adar
March/April = 1st month ABIB (13th month in the absence of barley ABIB)
April/May = 2nd month Zif (1st month ABIB following a Bible leap year of 13 months)
May/June = 3rd month Sivan
June/July = 4th month
July/August = 5th month
August/September = 6th month Elul
September/October = 7th month Ethanim
October/November = 8th month Bul
November/December = 9th month Chisleu
December/January = 10th month Tebeth

Given when the past two new moons became visible during this past January and when the remaining new moons are carded to become visible for the remainder of this year 2006 on the Roman calendar, this is the order in which I am seeing the Bible calendar months are going to be corresponding with the Roman calendar months this year 2006 (unusual?):

January 2006 = 11th month Sebat
January/February 2006 = 12th month Adar
March 2006 = carded Bible leap year intercalary 13th month
March/April 2006 = 1st month ABIB
April/May 2006 = 2nd month Zif
May/June 2006 = 3rd month Sivan
June/July 2006 = 4th month
July/August 2006 = 5th month
August/September 2006 = 6th month Elul
September/October 2006 = 7th month Ethanim
October/November 2006 = 8th month Bul
November/December 2006 = 9th month Chisleu
December 2006/January 2007 = 10th month Tebeth

Notice that inspite of the slight changes that appear to have occured between January and March with when those new moons becoming visible slightly off from the usual timing on the Roman calendar, the Roman months which we are mostly accustom of the Bible months to be corresponding with, begins to fall right back into place on the Roman calendar from March/April when the Bible 1st month ABIB most often occurs and will again be occuring this Roman year 2006. This is inspite of the carded intercalary 13th month or moon that becomes a compulsory, which if not acknowledged, the Bible 1st month this year 2006 would correspond only with March, a month TOO early even before there being any barley green ears of corn/grain in Israel. This would cause even the Bible 10th month which should correspond correctly with December 2006/January 2007 to instead correspond incorrectly with November/December. This would surely be a month or a moon too early.
It has been observed that the barley ABIB (green ears of corn/grain) will not be available in Israel in time for the new moon that is carded to become visible Tuesday evening 28th February.
If the barley ABIB is indeed not yet available when this month end of February will have arrived, it will sure be available after, in four (4) weeks time, for the new moon carded to become visible after sunset of the 29/30th day of March next month. It is only then can it be considered that a new year has begun on the Bible calendar.
It is Yahweh who sets His calendar in order and decides when He presents the visibility of any new moon to our naked eyes. We just have to follow with what he does and so begin His months based on our naked eye sighting of His new moons as He presents them to us and the barley ABIB which He has given by which to determine the moon that He has so instructed to begin the year with.
Basically, how I gave you the information is usually where the Bible months occur on the Roman calendar with the exception of this year 2006 in which we are experiencing a slight difference and that is only for the first three months anyway as I've shown above.
While that we may want to keep a close vigil on which Bible calendar month corresponds with which Roman calendar month(s), it is apparent that the Roman calendar should by no means be used as the basis on which to determine when Yahweh's calendar months should precisely occur since the Roman calendar in use today is not lunar based being of Babylonish origin.
No doubt, however, from the listing shown above for this Roman year 2006, that we'll sure be on tract with March/April as being when the 1st month of the year on the Bible calendar will occur because of the carded certainty that the barley ABIB (green ears of corn/grain) will have been grown and available by then in harvesting quantity in Israel when the ending of March 2006 new moon will have become visible to our naked eyes carded for Thursday evening 30th March in the early of spring.
When the grown harvest-quantity of barley ABIB in the early of spring in the middle East, specifically in Israel, is the criteria that we follow in determining which moon is the 1st month of the year on the Bible calendar in observance of the Bible-commanded annual observances in the seasons appointed in the Bible that they must be observed in the year, as commanded, we'll no doubt be in line with the order in which Yahweh has set out His calendar from the heavens irrespective of where they occur on the Roman calendar as the barley ABIB is Yahweh's provided signal to us that we could know which moon He has so determined that we obey Him to begin the year with and keep His festivals throughout His calendar year. -AP
