New moon evening
greetings to all!!!
Thanks to all who are keeping up with the momentum of looking for each new moon and making the effort
as best as you can to share a report of your new moon search month after month for the benefit of others locally, regionally
and internationally.
My search for the ninth new moon this Monday evening 04th November
2013 began from the local sunset time of 5:35pm ECT (-4 GMT/UT) at which time it turned 32 hrs 45 min old.
I quickly pulled my mobile phone out of my pocket to watch what time it is as soon as I had the first eye contact of this
evening's new moon and the time was 5:54pm.
It was difficult at first to photographically
catch it as the clouds kept taking it away from my sight every few seconds thereafter my first sighting of it but not for
long until when it descended to a clear enough area and then treated myself to having a few photos of it for everyone's viewing
confirmation as can be found at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.587026208000301.1073741856.100000787822166&type=1&l=cce9322e38.
It was not until it descended behind the clouds on the horizon at 6:35pm that I left off observing a new moon a bit more lying
on its back northward than its eighth appearing twenty-nine evenings ago.
Report in from
Trinidad by Elder Locksley Joseph declares that a brother and his wife there sighted it at 6:25.
Our local Deacon Russell Bertrand as well sighted it somewhere between its first appearing at 5:54pm and its disappearing
at 6:35pm.
Is there anything that I've forgotten to mention?
Happy new-moon-first-day of this biblical ninth
month starting with Tuesday 5th November 2013 to all,
